NEW DELHI: India has announced their 18-player squads for the February ODI and T20I series against the West Indies.

Rohit Sharma has been cleared to play and will lead India against the West Indies at home in February.

The West Indies' white-ball tour of India will begin with three ODIs at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, followed by three T20Is at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.

And Sharma will lead the team in both series, with vice-captain KL Rahul likely to miss the first ODI before rejoining the squad for the remaining five games.

Kuldeep Yadav returns from injury, and there are some new faces in the squad as India explores ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup in 2022.

Young spinner Ravi Bishnoi has been called up for the first time with a spot in both squads, while dangerous batter Deepak Hooda has been handed a debut ODI squad place.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami have been rested, while Ravindra Jadeja is still recovering from a knee ailment.

Axar Patel will miss the ODI series but will be back in the team for the T20Is.
