PUNE: Rajshree Sancheti of Delhi won the women's 10m air rifle title at the national shooting championships 2021, which were held at the M.P. State Shooting Academy range in Bhopal.

Rajshree finished the eight-woman final with a score of 251.8, 1.6 points higher than Himachal Pradesh's Zeena Khitta, who won the silver medal. Shreya Agrawal, a local shooter, took bronze with a score of 227.7, bowing out after the 22nd shot of the 24-shot final.

Meanwhile, Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Areeba Khan of Uttar Pradesh won the mixed skeet team title in Patiala. In the gold medal shoot-off, the duo defeated Punjab's Gurjoat Singh and Ganemat Sekhon, who had tied at 34 hits apiece. In the shoot-off, Mairaj and Areeba won 4-3.

Darshna Rathore, the individual skeet champion from Rajasthan, and Anantjeet Singh Naruka took bronze.

The 64th edition of the shooting nationals is being held in Patiala, Delhi, and Bhopal at the same time.

The nationals feature over 4,500 shooters from across India competing in both senior and junior categories. The event will end on December 6.
