Skupski-Krawczyk have last laugh
Down all-British duo Harriet Dart-Joe Salisbury
LONDON: Britain welcomed a new Grand Slam champion in the form of Neal Skupski, who won the mixed doubles title at Wimbledon with American Desirae Krawczyk.
On Centre Court, the No. 7 defeated all-British duo Harriet Dart and Joe Salisbury 6-2, 7-6(1).
It was Krawczyk's second Grand Slam victory in a row after she and Salisbury's won the French Open in June.
Dart and Salisbury were attempting to become the first all-British pair to win the Wimbledon mixed doubles event since Jo Durie and Jeremy Bates in 1987.
