Double crown for Shroff at the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Tournament
Vishal Salavi lifts men's singles title
Sixth seeded Sameeksha Shroff from Pune won a memorable double crown winning the women’s singles and doubles event at the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Tournament 2021, organised by Rohit Shinde Tennis Academy and played at the Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji Maharaj Krida Sankul, Karvenagar.
In the women’s singles finals, sixth-seeded 11th standard student of RMD Sinhgad Springdale School Sameeksha Shroff ended the challenge of Ishita Jadhav 4-2, 4-3(7-3) to claim the title.
Sameeksha practices at Nigdi under coach Nandu Rokade. Shroff partnering with Tanvi Tawade won the women’s doubles title. The Pune duo outplayed the pair of Ashwagandha Parade and Sai Jagtap 4-2, 4-2 to lift the title.
In the men's singles finals, Vishal Salavi edged past Anshul Satav 4-3(7-3), 4-1 to lift the title.
