Incessant rain leads to match being called off
Pune: Incessant overnight rain over the past few days proved to be a major factor in the Maharashtra- Tripura Round III - Elite Group C, Men's U25 State A Trophy 2021 being 'abandoned' on Monday.
Overnight rain left the outfield wet, heavy resulting in unplayable conditions at the Alur Cricket Stadium III, Bangalore.
The prevailing conditions led to the match being abandoned by umpires Tony Emmatty and Nishaanth S after inspection.
The match referee for the match was Nitin Goel.
Maharashtra and Tripura were awarded 2 points each owing to the decision.
